Plan to spend Thursday night (Nov 19) in Almonte, as many shops & restaurants have special hours and events. Have dinner at Mill Street Crepe Co. ($30 crepe-dessert-wine special) or stop by Equator Coffee Roasters for their holiday open house, where you can have a (specialty!) drink, a bite to eat, buy some Christmas gifts, and get a BOGO beverage card for a future visit (while quantities last). At the bottom of Mill St., drop by Dragon’s Lair Beads and do a Christmas Tree Spider Make and Take, and get a free gift with purchase at Vamos’ Outerwear event. Midway up the street, check out the Annie Sloan two-colour distressed Chalk Paint finish demo at Tin Barn Market (6:30–8pm). At the top of the street, Keepsakes offer snacks, floral demos, giveaways, and 25%-off at their open house (5-9pm).
Take a walk across the bridge to Kehla Jewellery, where they give you the incentive you need to finally buy that beautiful piece
for yourself or a loved one: 5–8pm, all sales are tax-free. Finish the night with a stop by one of our newest studios/shops — Jennifer Kelly’s Current Works of Glass (up by the LCBO) — where you can see a pulled hot glass demonstration (8pm-ish).
